The Windows Task Manager 7 is one of the most important components for the user of the system. With it, you can track the current state of the computer and networks, close old or open new processes, optimize the operation of programs and much more.
Launch
On the Web you can find a large number of ways to enable the Task Manager. But most of them are impractical or bulky in terms of implementation. We will consider two of the simplest options:
- Through the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + Shift + Esc.
- PCM click on the taskbar (the area where open programs are displayed at the very bottom of the screen) and select a point “Start the dispatcher …”.
Functions
The Task Manager menu includes six tabs.
Each of them is responsible for displaying or changing certain parameters. We will consider them one by one.
Applications
This tab displays any user applications currently running. The information is presented in the form of a table consisting of two columns: Task and Status. Status “Not responding” suggests that the system cannot turn to the process. If displayed “Works”, then everything is in order. When the application does not function at all, and it is impossible to close it, then use the button “Remove task”. The computer will urgently unload it from memory. Item “A new task …” will call the program “Follow out”, with which you can run the desired program or system component.
Processes
Information is displayed as a table of five columns. The first is the name of the process. In the second you can see its affiliation (there are user and system tasks). The third shows the processor load. The fourth is RAM. And the fifth column is explanatory. To close the process, click on the desired element and click on the corresponding item from the bottom of the screen. You can also click PCM by its name and choose “Finish the process”.
Important: do not close processes that are systemic, if you are not sure about the need for this action. Otherwise, it is possible that the computer will freeze or temporarily lose part of its working capacity. Correct the problem will be achieved by restarting it.
Services
In this section, you can see all the services that are presented in Windows 7. Moreover, not only those that are currently working are displayed, but also disabled. The status of the item can be changed from the context menu. A button “Servants” will transfer the user to the computer administration section of the same name.
Performance
Performance is one of the most relevant sections in the Win 7 task manager. Here, the processor (CP) and RAM boot is displayed. The information is also presented in the form of a graph that is updated in real time. The information provided is incomplete, the whole picture can be seen if you click “Resource monitor …”.
There, the computer download is already displayed in all details, the information is divided into five categories, refers to each process that is currently running.
Network
The section contains information about the operation of network connections and adapters. A download schedule is placed at the top of the window, and information about a specific connection and device is below. The download level is also displayed there.
Users
All users who currently use the system are displayed here. The tab will be useful in case of remote access, when several people interact with one computer at once. In it you can interrupt the connection, connect a new one, and also contact one of the sessions.@top-advice.ru
