A sleeping mode is the state of the system when all its processes are curtailed, but not closed. At the same time, energy consumption is significantly reduced. A similar function will be very useful for laptop owners, whose autonomy is very limited. But for stationary PCs, it is often not just non-functional, but also interferes. The fact is that initially the computer on Windows 8 goes into sleep mode some time after user inaction. And every time you have to wait for the system to load. In this case, the logical solution is to disable this function.
Disable function
Most system parameters are set in the Control Panel. It will also be possible to deactivate the transition to sleep over time. You can start it from the window “Parameters” (Win + I). Switch the view to the icons and open the element “Electricity”.An alternative call option is Win + R, and then – request powercfg.cpl.A window with the choice of energy circuit will be displayed. Open the settings for the one currently in use.
An alternative call option is Win + R, and then – request powercfg.cpl.A window with the choice of energy circuit will be displayed. Open the settings for the one currently in use.
There you can set the time for the computer or laptop to go to sleep. If you want to completely disable the option, then set the value “Never”.When the settings are finished, click on the save changes button. Now the PC will not go to sleep after some time, but only turn off the screen. But this option can also be deactivated.
Important: On laptops, special programs for controlling power from the manufacturer are often preinstalled. Their purpose is to increase the term of autonomous work. But such utilities are sometimes taken into control of sleep mode, bypassing system settings. Accordingly, if the above actions did not give the desired result, it is worth checking the predefined software and disconnecting it if there is such a need.
Alternative option
In the G8, part of the settings located in the control panel are available for change in an alternative way – through a new window “Parameters” (swims in the right side of the screen). This applies to sleep mode Windows 8. You can call the window while pressing the Win and I buttons on the keyboard. In the menu, click on the column “Change of parameters …”, located almost at the very bottom.
Go to tab Computer and Devices. Further – “Completion and …”.
In this window, you can cancel the transition of the PC to sleep after a while. To do this, open the pop-up list and select the item at the bottom “Never”.@top-advice.ru
