Windows Vista was developed as a replacement for Windows XP. This is the name of Microsoft’s proprietary technology, which allows you to create a swap file on a removable flash drive. Its purpose is to fill the lack of RAM for the effective functioning of the system. There are diagnostic functions of the drive. With their help, it will be possible to eliminate most of the problems by internal means of Windows.
Support period
The official release of Win Vista is November 30, 2006. At the very start, the OS had a large number of problems and unpleasant features for the end user. Many did not like how much more the system took place on the hard drive and how much it required RAM when comparing XP. There were problems with the network, the compatibility of the programs (some old drivers could not be installed), the speed and other aspects of the computer. But Microsoft was constantly improving the OS, making useful changes and correcting old problems. All major updates are compiled in Service Pack 2, dated 05/25/2009. All serious flaws have been eliminated, so Windows Vista is currently suitable for comfortable use by an ordinary user. This version of Windovs was replaced by a “seven” (10.22.2009).
