HTC will offer its new mid-range device Desire 22 Pro in Germany. It is intended as a companion for the VR glasses Vive Flow.
HTC has a new mid-range mobile phone announced for Germany. The manufacturer has not yet announced the price of the Desire 22 Pro for the German market. On the British website, however, the Desire 22 Pro is listed for £400.
HTC is marketing the Desire 22 Pro as a companion for its HTC Flow VR glasses. The new Android smartphone from HTC can connect wirelessly to the headset via HDCP 2.2 and deliver content. However, this also works with numerous mobile phones from other manufacturers. HTC has a list of smartphones that are compatible with the Flow headset on its website.
Reverse charging via Qi
What else makes the Desire 22 Pro special for collaboration, according to HTC? Predestined with the Flow headset is its reverse charging capability: With its 4500 mAh battery, the Desire 22 Pro can charge Qi-compatible devices such as the Flow. Whether it really makes sense with the Flow can be doubted: The HTC headset only has a small battery for short breaks between plugging and unplugging, the headset has to be supplied with power via a cable during operation – the Qi range is not enough to power the one on the head Charge the headset from your pocket with your cell phone.
The HTC Desire 22 Pro has a 6.6-inch screen with a resolution of 1080 x 2412 pixels and a maximum refresh rate of 120 Hertz. It is powered by a 5G-capable Snapdragon 695, which is supported by 8 GB of RAM. The internal storage space is 128 GB, and there is a slot for an SD card.
The front camera with its 32 megapixels is housed in a punch hole, and there is a triple camera system with a 64 megapixel on the back -Main module. NFC is supported, the fingerprint sensor is on the side. HTC massively shut down its cell phone production a few years ago, but still builds a few smartphones. The predecessor model HTC Desire 21 Pro is available in Germany for 350 euros.
