iOS
Apple’s mobile operating system iOS runs exclusively on its own mobile devices such as iPhones, iPads, iPods and Apple TV from the 2nd generation. It is based on a Mac OS X core and uses the HFSX file system, an evolved HFS+. The main feature is the touchscreen that can be operated by swiping gestures. This goes back to ideas from Steve Jobs, who left a considerable legacy to Apple with the mobile “i” devices.
